Being a rhymester for a semester

My sister, ammoose (Drishya) had asked me to help her with one poem, which she needed to submit for her college activity. She gave me two subjects to choose from. And those were indeed surprising- (1) Science and technology (2) Sports and society. Obviously my eyebrows rose beyond my forehead. "Science and technology"- Come onn!!!! Should I try out for a romance between robots? Ohh my goodness. Have I lost my mind? How can I forget her. AISHU (Ash as Hindiwalas call her).."Robo song....BOOM BOOM ROBO DA" from Endhiran flew into me . On god????Aishu with her damn grace and alluring movements....Not to mention the charismatic Thalaivar...But to be very honest...For me Aishu is the metaphor of Robot..So let the masterpiece rest alone. So unarguably my rhymester skills had to grab the only topic left- SPORTS AND SOCIETY.

Amidst the array of my fellow men
Awaiting the sound of the gun

Here I am, keen to trigger my sprint
To leap ahead second to none is the spirit

Emanated the sound of the shot
My veins animated foot from the spot

Gust of wind embraced my face
Gush of blood accelerated my race

Ran I ran, with grace and pace
Albeit the path looked all maze

Hastened I towards the finish lap
Once again crowned with the champ’s cap

Looked at the ground hither and thither
None to find, all once mustered together

A gentle breeze whisked my desire
Macbeth’s witches watched me in despair

You are the looser, you are the looser
The cap of conceit was all but a loafer


Triumph in capital was the sole goal
Horizons transcended with silver pole

My people and kin were my prop
Blindfolded was me, even before the brink drop

Love and care were the track they took
Mirage of fantasy enroute deluded my outlook

Sprinted the lone race of this selfish life
Stranded all alone , gazing the dark clouds
Whispered the witches once again
You are the looser, you are the looser
